(Jewish) Art Books (Illuminated Fetish)

Am still posting about the Crossing Borders exhibition of medieval Jewish, Christian, and Islamic illuminated manuscripts at the Jewish Museum. I purchased these 4 books on my way out of the Museum. They caught my attention one after the other, in sequence, but came together almost immediately together, simultaneously, as a group. Commodity fetish, the  seem to speak to each other, and also, perhaps more directly, to my own interests in material form, aesthetic mediation, and cultural objecthood.
