Be still, my beating pagan heart. This past Tuesday morning on rt. 80 W a bit before the New Jersey-Pennsylvania border, and then on rt. 81 N up the hills out of Scranton.

On the way home, somewhere driving south of Scranton on rt 380, on a Friday afternoon with the colors turned on under a big, heavy sky. The hard trunks and twigs twist into the color.

The semester’s commute begins in earnest. On the way home last week on a bright and sunny day, stuck in traffic on the George Washington Bridge. Time to shut up and take in the view.
