I saw this guy in the Old City of Jerusalem, and the graphics caught my attention. As a poster speaks, visually, for itself, assuming that such a thing is possible –blues, greens, yellow, and the tough face of what I’ll presume to be a fighter.
After my first posting of this post, Eyal H. wrote in, sharing this translation and explanation:
The top cites a verse of the Quran – “He has been gracious to me, since he has taken me out of Imprisonment” (Quran, Surat Joseph, 100)
The writing says:
The Islamic Movement – The Holy House (Bait al-Mukadas)
Congratulates the Heroic Jihad Warrior
(his picture)
Assam Talat Koudmani
On the Occasion of his release from prison of the Zionist occupation
May Allah place it in your balance of your moral deeds
This poster represents a congratulation sign for a released Palestinian prisoner – who has been in Israeli prison for terrorist acts, and I presume has been released in the prisoner trade for Gilad Shalit.
