Israel Politics People Listening

israel

I was blown away by this picture in the New York Times of the audience in Jerusalem at President Obama’s recent speech. Different groups of Israeli young people thinking different thoughts. What a complex place and what a complex condition. The image of the two women up front are most interesting, but for me, I’m wondering about the dude in the blue shirt three rows behind them, a bit to their right, looking off to his  left. Was he the only one in the audience not listening to the speech?
