Legend Upper Westside Chinese

279

Love Legend Upper Westside Chinese. On W. 109 St. between Broadway and Amsterdam, it’s probably the best Chinese joint on the Upper Westside. I know that that may not be saying much, but, boy, New York food critics can be tough on a place. I liked the purple eggplant, as well as the snarky review that I found online that made reference to dumbed down American Jewish Chinese food, both of which were enough for me to add this item to the blog. On Halloween trick or treating, they were handing out fortune cookies to the kids roaming around Broadway. The place was full of grad students from China studying at Columbia. The food looked great from the window. We ordered delivery after Shabbat, and went back Sunday afternoon for lunch. I’m sure there’s better in the city, but not by us up here. Hope to make it back Christmas Eve.
