Livestock (New York State Fair 2015)

While I understand that many will disagree with great and justified criticism, I’ll contend that there is a gentle qualia to this brutal business that we call the American food industry on show at the New York State Fair. The animals are themselves technological wonders, handled with great care and respect. The livestock sheds are the most quiet part of the Fair. A powerful work ethic imbues the assemblage.
