This Is What Politics Looks Like (Nancy Pelosi)

I’ve been posting photographs of political leaders that I find interesting for what they tell us about politics. Here we are given to see the (three quarter?) profile of a master politician in the dark surrounding shadows of deep reflection, calculating perhaps her own political future or her own next steps as Speaker of the House. You can find the series here at the blog here. They include, for the main part, Democratic pols. They convey the sense of blunt force persuasion, scheming ruthlessness, and the careful weighing of means and ends.
