“Body without Organs”

Eva Hesse (found at: http://frontieracademyart.com/?p=376)

Is this what a “body without organs” looks like? I mental-spatial structure with no clearly articulated central, controlling organs.

Art historian-critic Rosalind Krauss makes excellent use of Deleuze in her discussion of the artist Eva Hesse. She does so towards the very end of The Optical Unconscious.

Are “religion” and religious systems bodies without organs?
