Dark Star (Another Star of Redemption Pictograph)

star of redemption blk

Here’s another Star of Redemption pictograph. I started doing these years ago in order to give my students and myself a graphic orientation to the complex constitutional make-up of Rosenzweig’s multi-part system. This one must have been an early one, before I started pulling a face, the face of God, out of a hexagram figured in a gate-like figure at the right end terminus of the picture. Rosenzweig’s text is unique, I think, in the way it lends itself to this kind of figuration.

If it’s possible, would you be willing to provide an explanation of some of your models for the Star, and perhaps your developments and refinements? I’m actually looking to hit it cover to cover this summer and could use all the help I can get.

hi Dean: i’ll add on some commentary into the main body of the post.

Wonderful. I can’t thank you enough.

Keep up the excellent blogging, by the way. Yours is one of the few I check as often as I’m able. I appreciate the quips, photos, etc. You open a good space for thinking which provides just enough of a springboard to get my own mind going. Thanks again!
