Hinduism and Judaism (Alan Brill Blogs from India)

India - Jews_1905_IndianJew

I can hardly think of a more interesting Jewish cultural interface than the one with India. It’s one that combines history of religions and international relations. Alan Brill is now blogging from Benares, India. A Fulbright scholar, he is working on a book about Judaism and Hinduism. Follow him at the Book of Doctrines and Opinions. He started posting about India a couple of weeks ago. Check out this link and then get to the home page to scroll down for more. It’s a big world out there. I like the cosmopolitanism.

  1. Jews have long history with India. Some of the oldest Jewish synagogues in the world can be found in Kerala, my home state. Great photo.
