Hard Boiled or Scrambled? (More PEW American Judaism)

“With” or “without” religion, domestic life would never seem to have mattered as much as it does today, when today the Jewish people are reeling, according to some tough boiled eggs, on the brink of their own demographic demise. JJ Goldberg at the Forward has been following up on the PEW report, which promises to scramble for years the discussion of American Jewish identity. A recent article by him and two new addenda linked there by authors of the survey provide important clarification re: pessimistic versus optimistic analyses and prognoses for the future of American Judaism, especially Liberal Judaism, especially in relation to the bugaboo of intermarriage.
