40 mph (Through Snow) (Drive Civil)

008 009

Driving through heavy snow is a social trust, the most civil form of the art. Moving at super slow speed, everyone gives right of way to the other. We’re all in this together. With almost no room for error, everyone gives the right of way to the other. Everything is thought through carefully. Cars pass each other gently and with great deliberation. Quietly, Glenn Gould plays works by Scribian and Sibelus, Cosmic Tones for Mental Therapy” with  Sun Ra and his Myth Science Arkestra. Given its own space, each note makes its own world in relation to every other one.
