Midwood Brooklyn Haredi (Red Brick)

023

Sundays have been getting me out to to the Midwood neighborhood in Brooklyn. The place is full of big box yeshivas and little, pocket betei-midrash. I like the low-rise and red-brick work. Far away from Manhattan, the vibe’s very urban in a strange sort of way. Maybe it feels a little like Los Angeles, but Haredi. Residential houses surround long major commercial strips like Coney Island Avenue. I should have taken more pictures. About Midwood, you can read a little from a couple years back here in the NYT real estate section.
