      Scholem’s Major Trends in Jewish Mysticism is still a stand out. I really like Elliot Wolfson’s Speculum That Shines. For an “experiential” take, I liked A River Flows from Eden: The Language of Mystical Experience in the Zohar
      by Melila Hellner-Eshed.
