Shalom & Boker tov…the lady, of course, is Escha Scholem, his first wife…they were divorced by April 1936, and by December 1936 he and the younger, quite elegant Fanya Freud, who had been living together, were married..Escha had, in the meantime, become mates with Kantian philosopher Hugo Bergman (friend and childhood classmate with Kafka).
