This is my country; my country is Trump country; here are two maps. The first indicates those parts of the country that voted Trump. Forget red-state and blue state. What caught me up short were the tiny and isolated pockets of blue representing those parts of the country where most of “us” live. The second map shows in a dark red those parts of the country that Trump gained for the GOP in 2016 in relation to the 2012 race. All those parts of the country marked in deep red were once blue, the northern industrial parts through which Trump spread like a cancer.
