River (Zohar & Food)

(Fairway Supermarkey & Hudson River view from inside Fairway Supermarket)

I’ve got rivers in my head.

According to the Zohar, it’s “[from] that flowing , gushing river, [that] all are nourished; from there souls fly to all…for there is nothing in the world that does not depend on the flux of destiny…[and] from there all goodness flows into the world.”

Souls fly to Fairway at 125th St, as the Hudson River flows by.

As they have established, “all depends on flux.”

–Zohar 1:1198a (commentary to Gen. 42:6, “Joseph was the governor over the land…” [trans. Daniel Matt])
