Conservative clerics object and might even threaten, but what’s not to like? The critics contend that it’s a kind of showing off. But all I see are happy people. The Hajj selfies are adorable. An open window, they put a human face on to something very beautiful. These people are not “the center of the universe.” They are at the center of the universe.
