Eco Toilet (New York Visitor Center)

I’m being childish, to be sure, but the toilets at the New York State Southern Tier Visitor Center on rt. 81 just south of Binghamton are a technological wonder. The first time I was startled. Where’s the water? It’s a latrine with a foam cleaning system.

  1. I work at a nature center with indoor composting toilets & still marvel at how nifty they are!

I just saw these on a business trip. I thought my toilet was broken until my business partner told me it’s supposed to be like that. It’s hard to get used to but a great idea. It does not smell. This is more than I can say for some flushing systems. It will just take a bit of time to get used to. Thanks for posting about this!
